8 Reasons Why Spending Time Alone is Good For You:
1. You have an opportunity to know who you really are.
Like it or not, when we spend time with other people we 'ping' them and their energy and adjust our behavior accordingly. We are social animals after all, and all of us do it to some extent, no matter how independent we are.
When you are alone, you get to figure out who you really are because you are the only person you need to think about and the only one you need to please.
2. You become confident!
When you are all alone and have only yourself to please - you become confident!
This happens for the same reason as above; namely, you don't have to ping off other people, their wishes, desires or their view of the world.
Many people get anxious when their view of the world is different to the people they are talking to or socializing with, and thus slowly lose the belief that their view of the world is the right one, which leads to loss of confidence.
In reality, it's OK to have opposing views on the same matter. The world benefits form diversity.
3. You become inspired, motivated and productive!
Being alone and thinking only about what matters to you and what you want to accomplish will inspire you and motivate you to fulfill that dream!

4. You have an opportunity to learn something new.
And not just something new - but something that interests you, and probably no one else in your social circle.
When you are alone, you get to focus on what you want to learn, do, feel, think... And thus you get to develop that side of you that usually gets neglected in the company of others.
5. You have an opportunity to relax and de-stress.
Whether we want to admit it or not - caring for other people and their needs, changing who we are at least slightly to make the relationship with another person better and the like - they drain us of energy and stress us out.
When you're alone, you can relax, de-stress and do whatever it is you wish to do, without worrying about being judged or making the other people around you bored.
6. You have time to meditate and center yourself.
I meditate at least for 20 minutes each day, and it helps me center my thoughts, my feelings and emotions and my desires.
After a 20 minute meditation session I feel whole again.
That is why it is important to take at least a bit of time every day just for yourself. No matter how busy you are, you can those 20 minutes each day to invest in yourself.
7. You have an opportunity to learn to love your independence.
Many people are afraid of being alone because they equate it to being lonely. The two are far from the same; as we already wrote - you can be lonely even if hordes of people constantly surround you; and if people surround you all the time, it is hard to be independent of their influence.
Make some time every day to be alone and to reclaim your independence from all of those influence other people have on you.. Like your parents, your friends, your significant other, the media.. Make room for what you want when those influences are not affecting you - it is what spending time alone is all about.
8. You will have time to declutter your life.
Most people think that they have to add things to their lives. The same goes for thoughts.
But, have you ever tried to declutter your mind (or your living space for that matter)? Get rid of the excess thoughts which don't serve you or benefit you in any way?
When you are alone, you get to do this - to declutter your thoughts and to make yourself feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your chest. With a healthy, de-cluttered thought processes, you will also have a healthy body as these two go hand in hand.
